Activists in Oakland Launch Plan to Legalize Sales of Psychedelic Substances
Activists in Oakland are hoping to establish a community-based model through which individuals could legally buy entheogenic substances from local producers. This will expand Oakland’s present psychedelics decriminalization law. The California city became the first city in the United States to decriminalize a wide range of psychedelic substances, including ayahuasca and psilocybin, in 2019.
