Could Psychedelics Be the Drugs That Bridge the Peace Gap?
For the first time, Israel treated patients who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder with MDMA-assisted psychotherapy in February of this year. This was part of the Phase 3 trials of MDMA, which are a part of a research initiative being carried out in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (“MAPS”), which is based in the United States. This initiative encompasses 15 sites in Israel, Canada and the U.S. and is expected to end in the last quarter of next year.
