Study Finds Psilocybin Use Lowers Odds of Being Arrested
A new study has linked the use of psilocybin with a reduction in the likelihood of an individual engaging in criminal behavior. Psilocybin is the active compound found in hallucinogenic mushrooms. Harvard University clinical psychology PhD candidate Grant Jones, the author of the study, stated that his interest in psychedelics grew as the substances gained more attention because of their treatment potential, having demonstrated that they could be used to relieve a number of mental health conditions.
